How do I control the Bose Portable Smart Speaker?

Within Wi-Fi range, you can control the speaker with your voice (without using your mobile device) or with the Bose Music app. Outside Wi-Fi range, you can control the speaker with your mobile device via Bluetooth.

What music services can I use with the Bose Portable Smart Speaker?

You can play popular music services like Amazon Music, Spotify, and Pandora anywhere you’ve got Wi-Fi. Everywhere else, you can use Bluetooth to listen to anything your mobile phone or tablet can play. Apple users can also use AirPlay 2.

How does the Bose Portable Smart Speaker compare to the Bose Home Speaker 300 and Bose Home Speaker 500?

The Portable Home Speaker is wireless and water-resistant, while the Home Speaker 300 and 500 aren’t. The Portable Home Speaker and the Home Speaker 300 have comparable acoustic performance, while the Home Speaker 500 has even better sound.

Yes. With Alexa only, you can make or take calls to Bose smart products, Amazon Echo products, and anyone in your contacts list. To call products, both parties must have this feature set up and be on Wi-Fi.
